The aroma of freshly baked bread filled Leo's kitchen. He had just finished making a sourdough loaf, its crust perfectly golden. He was looking forward to a relaxed afternoon of painting in his studio. The colours and the canvas were calling to him. He was ready to create something beautiful, something new.

A mechanical rumble outside brought him back to reality. He went to the window, spatula in hand. A tow truck was hauling away his hatchback. He blinked. What on earth? He'd better go see what was up.
